Daily Linksplosion: Thursday, April 30, 2009
This edition of the semi-regular Linksplosion filches endlessly from Infinite Lives’ brand new Twitter thingie. I’m basically retweeting my retweets!

- Destructoid – Snatcher, reconsidered: why you need to play it, but won’tGreat retrospective. Be sure to check out all the screenshots’ alt text—I’d had absolutely no idea about the Sega CD version and the light gun!
- Gamasutra – News – Feature: ‘The Social Network Game Boom’In turns, I’m fascinated with, repulsed by, and addicted to ‘social network’ games. I am so hooked on Loudcrowd. I am surprised by the way games like Mafia Wars aggressively, virally spread themselves, essentially tricking players into passing the game on to unsuspecting friends. I constantly try to dodge my cousins and aunts, all of whom generously offer me plants and flowers for my Lil Greenhouse (or whatever) that I don’t have. Anyway, read this thingie.
- Offworld – Gimme Indie Game: the hyper-real surreality of Vectorpark’s WINDOSiLL"Everything has such a well defined heft and tension, everything responds to your prodding with just the right amount of ‘squishiness’, that even its most surreal concoctions feel fantastically alive." Let’s all agree to play this and then reconvene.

If you like Loudcrowd, you might want to check out JamLegend.
It’s basically free Guitar Hero online and it’s a lotta fun!
