Evilspeak (1981)

IMDb: “A military cadet who happens to be a social outcast taps into a way to summon demons and cast spells on his tormentors through his computer.”

Please tell me someone, anyone, has seen this movie.

I’ve heard ‘speak’ of it, but never seen it. Sounds similar to “Brainscan” only with the military school aspect added in.

yes, absolutely. Great movie from 80s summertime VHS rentals.
It will leave you screaming COOPERSMITH!!

On your recommendation I just now watched it and it was… ok. I have a feeling that it would be better if it were watched with a few friends and you were drinking heavily. Coopersmith is away from the computer most of the time as it’s casting the demons and whatnot on it’s own. It’s not like he’s eviscerating dudes from his computer with a joystick or something. Seriously, get some people together, get liquored up and watch it. Sounds like a good time.

It features the only known union of the words “starring” “Clint” and “Howard”—what could go wrong?
Other than, you know, combining them in that order.

Saw it in an actual movie theater. Also own the VHS.

And… Brian pretty much has the truth of it.
